Our images are taken with Meditherm equipment exclusively.  Meditherm makes the only medical grade (with FDA factory inspections) infrared imaging equipment on the market today.  

Images are interpreted by  Medical Doctors, additionally Board Certified in Themology and are physicians from various specialties, who form the team at EMI (Electronic Medical Interpretation), a subsidiary of Meditherm; it is the world's largest and most advanced network of interpreting physicians. We use a secure "intranet" HIPPA-compliant method of direct, safe transmission. The normal turnaround time for reports is less than 72 hours, and a 24 hr turnaround rush option is available for a reasonable additional fee. The Thermologists interpreting our images are members of the American College of Clinical Thermology (ACCT).  Currently there are more than 30 M.D.’s on staff.

We will fax or email digital copies of your report + images to you and as many providers as you wish at no extra cost to you. .

Because we are committed to enabling our patients to obtain and maintain health and wellness naturally, and the services provided by us are based upon a natural and preventative approach, it is rare that they are covered by insurance companies.  

In all cases, we appreciate and expect payment in full for our services at the time they are rendered, and in return, we pledge to provide you with exceptional imaging as we place you on a life-long path of early disease detection.

PAYMENT OPTIONS:    Cash, check, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover.  Most insurance does not pay for Thermography. We recommend going to your insurance website and searching Thermography to see their policy.

ALL FEES INCLUDE THE MEDICAL INTERPRETATION.  You will not be receiving an additional “interpretation fee” in the mail following your screening.

WHY DOES IT TAKE TWO BREAST THERMOGRAMS THE FIRST TIME?    

Measuring temperatures to an accuracy of 1/100 of a degree, thermography detects the heat from abnormal cell growth. It's widely accepted that aggressive pathology has the hottest thermal signatures or“fever,” and that indolent or “idle” pathology have cool signatures and are very slow-growing, stable or in regression. Thermography is a highly sensitive screening tool that reveals differences in emitted heat patterns that indicate changes in your breast health. Therefore, the first year that you screen with thermography requires a second set of images (not just one) after 90 days, to establish a baseline. A second imaging allows for assessment in temperature changes: hotter, cooler, stable. The 2nd baseline represents your unique thermal fingerprint which will only change if you have a developing pathology. A baseline cannot be established with only one study as we cannot determine if this is your normal pattern or if you are actually changing at the time of your first themogram. By comparing two studies 3 months apart we are able to judge if your breast physiology is stable and suitable to be used as your normal baseline and safe for future annual screening. The 3 month interval relates to the period of time that it takes for blood vessels to show change. Even if your first breast thermogram looks good, it should not be relied upon until stability is confirmed by a second imaging after 90 days. “Second breast images are so crucial that our clinic provides the second breast baseline complimentary” Once your baseline is established, you just need to monitor annually, to detect  any early changes in your breast health using your stable baseline thermal pattern.
